ABSTRACT
Stress and anxiety are common mental health problems among high school adolescents due to academic pressure, social demands, and psychosocial development. This study employed a quantitative research design using a pretest–posttest approach. A total of 100 students were randomly selected from two senior high schools in Padang City. The intervention involved the use of Headspace and MindDoc, legal mental health applications available on the App Store and Google Play Store, over a four-week period. Stress and anxiety levels were measured using validated questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS. The results showed that the mean stress score decreased from 23.84 ± 4.12 at pretest to 17.26 ± 3.98 at posttest. Similarly, the mean anxiety score decreased from 22.17 ± 3.87 to 16.03 ± 3.65 after the intervention. The paired sample t-test revealed a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest scores for both stress and anxiety variables (p = 0.000).Mental health applications were effective in reducing stress and anxiety levels among adolescents.
