ABSTRACT
The rapid development of digital technology has transformed public behavior in accessing health services, including the increasing practice of health self-screening through digital health applications. In urban areas of Indonesia, time constraints, high mobility, and increasing awareness of disease prevention have encouraged individuals to utilize digital health applications as tools for early health screening. Several digital health applications such as SATUSEHAT Mobile, Halodoc, Alodokter, and KlikDokter are commonly used for independent health monitoring, ranging from symptom checking to non-communicable disease risk screening. This study aims to describe health self-screening behavior among urban communities in Indonesia through the use of digital health applications. This research employed a descriptive study design with a survey approach involving 100 respondents from urban areas in Indonesia who had used digital health applications within the past six months. The findings revealed that most respondents were aged 18–35 years (60.0%), had a higher education background (66.0%), and were employed (70.0%). The most widely used digital health application for self-screening was Halodoc (42.0%), followed by Alodokter (26.0%), SATUSEHAT Mobile (20.0%), and KlikDokter (12.0%). The most common forms of self-screening included general symptom checking (76.0%), general health monitoring (52.0%), and screening for non-communicable disease risks such as diabetes and hypertension (35.0%). Based on behavioral measurement results, the majority of respondents demonstrated a good level of self-screening behavior (56.0%), with application usage at least once in the last month (63.0%).
